WELCOME TO CHESTANGO

Established in 1997, CHESTA began its work in CHIKITI Block of Ganjam District focusing on water and environmental sanitation. Since then CHESTA has extended its operations to tribal dominated districts Kandhamal, Gajapati , Nayagarh,Koraput,Nabarangpur & Malakangirin and coastal districts of Puri & Ganjam of Odisha. The programmes of CHESTA are based on community participatory approach. It believes in promoting likeminded networking partners, CBOs and CSOs at panchayat, block and district level. The projects of CHESTA are:-

CHESTA’s key objective is to develop an environment in which people are able to develop as individuals and communities and come together to assert their rights, become empowered and break the cycle of indebtedness and disadvantage.
